- Posted on: Oct 2 2019
After 4 years of painstaking work, the 3rd edition of the Mr Leatherbarrow’s textbook iwas published in October 2019. Mr Leatherbarrow is immensely grateful to so many patients who have given their permission for him to use their photographs and videos for the book. The book represents over 3 decades of experience in this subspecialty and he hopes it will contribute to patient safety, and to patient’s good outcomes from their surgery in the hands of surgeons who undertake the surgical procedures described in the book. Unlike manuals of surgery, Mr Leatherbarrow’s book emphasises the importance of careful preoperative evaluation, accurate diagnosis, appropriate investigations and good aftercare, in addition to meticulous surgical technique.
