Orbital Tumours

This is a highly specialized area involving every aspect of the Oculoplastic and Orbito-facial Surgeon’s expertise. Orbital tumors are rare and should be managed by surgeons who have undergone specific training in this field. Mr Leatherbarrow has undergone such extensive training and has over 20 years of experience undertaking such surgery.

Tumors may be primary or secondary, benign or malignant. They may spread to the orbit from the eye e.g. a melanoma, from the eyelids e.g. a basal cell carcinoma, or from the paranasal sinuses. They may originate elsewhere in the body and metastasize to the orbit e.g. from the breast.
